I recently came across a UK site on project risk and it resonated with me for renovation projects. In the UK (and I assert here) a staggering 70%+ of home renovation projects are initiated by the woman of the house. And if you break that down, that’s alot of projects. So, add that to an industry that is 80%+ (circa 87%) run and operated by men. There’s some interesting project dynamics that could play out here. Then, take the amount of projects that fail. That’s 40% that don’t make the distance. For reasons of budget, incompatible team, variations or scope creep, and disruption of the livability of the household. We can do better.
